About Howzit

We didn't grow up in the trades during the era our parents and grandparents talk about — the one where a handshake meant something and a tradie's word was their reputation. But we've listened. We've spent enough time around tradespeople who remember that era, and enough time hearing from clients who've been burned by the way things work now, to see a pattern we couldn't ignore: undercutting, corner-cutting, and a growing trust gap between tradies and the people who hire them.

This isn't just an outside observation for us, either. We come to this with a licensed tradesman's hands-on experience across sites of every size and type, and we've put in the work to understand the other trades under the Howzit banner rather than just delegating that knowledge out. That mindset runs through the whole team — we're always learning, sharing what we know with each other, and backing anyone on our team who wants to go further and pick up new qualifications. Between our trades, our contractors, and the people backing us, there's a genuinely deep well of trade experience behind Howzit Enterprises — we're committed to keep growing that understanding as the business grows, because learning the industry properly is part of how we intend to earn trust, not just talk about it.

We think that gap is a warning sign for the whole industry, not just an inconvenience. If trades keep racing each other to the bottom on price instead of competing on the quality of their work, it's a path toward an industry that loses the pride — and the standards — that used to define it.

So we started Howzit Enterprises to push back on that. Not because we have decades of experience to draw on, but because we've got the drive, the people around us who do have that experience, and a belief that the industry can hold itself to something better. We want to help set a new standard: work you can be proud of, and a price you can trust.

We'd genuinely rather tell you the truth about a job or a price than take advantage of you to win the work. We owe a lot of this idea, and the knowledge behind it, to the people who've shared their experience with us along the way. We're building more than a business. We're building a community worth trusting again.
